Leggings debut

Good morning/afternoon.  I've been on the go almost all morning and this is my first opportunity to post a pic of me wearing my denim leggings.  I tried to take a pic this AM but the darn camera battery was dead!  So, I ran to the post office to mail some things and then headed over to Anthropologie to see if there were any new markdowns.  Alas, there was not.  At least not at my store.  I did see a lot of new arrivals out on the floor that weren't there on Sunday.  Errr...yes, I was just there on Sunday.  Sunday I was able to pick up a Borrowed Blazer ($30) and the Thousand Days skirt in dark orange ($40), both on sale (and unfortunately not online anymore).  Yippeee.  That skirt was a new markdown because I did NOT see any of them the last time I was there.  So not as to call my trip a total waste, I did try on the Smart Set pullover because after I saw it on Dea here, I was smitten. But the only one in my size had a couple holes in it!  Disappointing.  While I was in the dressing room,  I thought, "hey, I'll take a picture of my today's outfit in here".

American Rag denim leggings

My review so far is this-not too shabby.  Yes, the elastic waist is not flattering, but since my tops will always be covering it, it's not an issue.  The denim is a nice weight and it actually feels like a pair of jeans would feel.  I've been in and out of my car all morning, and so far no bagging out at the knees. I'd say if you were in the market for denim leggings and live near a Macys or a retailer that sells American Rag-give these a go.  Right now, Macy's is running a promotion where if you buy any pair of denim jeans, get a $10 savings pass to use on clothing and accessories purchase until 01/18/10.  So, that basically knocks these down to $25 in my book.

All in all, I walked out of Anthro today only buying some ornaments, which are now marked down to 75% off.  When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised to find this in my mail

Yay. My birthday is in January and I received a little card from Anthropologie to use for 15% off a total purchase.  The little candle on the card is actually a cute necklace.  Oh, I totally plan on wearing it on my birthday!  I believe this is something they send out to Anthro card holders.  I received one last year and distinctly remember using it to buy some sweaters one Sunday afternoon!  I also received a card from Macy's with a $10 coupon off a $30 purchase, along with a coupon for a free dessert from the Marketplace for my birthday.  How sweet is that!  And speaking of "sweet", I wore my red flower ring today that I won on one of Joy De Vivre Design's giveaways.  The ring is by etsy seller-Atomic Sweets.  I love it!  Here is a good pic of it from the shopsite:

Well, I'm off to make lunch and start putting some Christmas things away.  Bah Humbug!  That's no fun!
