birthday day

Even though my birthday was Wednesday, Tuesday night Mr. M surprised me by making a cake and giving me gifts early!

The chocolate cake was from an Ad Hoc mix and let me tell you.  It was delicious.  Seriously delicious.

So delicious that my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I just had a hunk of it for dinner.  

When I arrived to work on Wednesday, I walked in and found birthday balloons and cards in my office.  

What a great way to start the day!

Within 10 minutes, the first balloon popped and it was LOUD.

I thought for sure someone would come looking to check it out because I swear, it sounded like a gunshot.

No one came.

On our way to Subway for lunch, I recruited my friend, Brenda, to snap a couple outfit pictures in our glamorous parking lot.  Balloons are hard to wrangle in gusty winds.  So are my bangs.

After work I did a quick change for a birthday dinner and wore another fabulous {sale} Kate Spade dress.
