cha cha cha

macy's cha cha vente dress/kendra scott ring/spanx tights/coach shoes

I saw this Macy's dress reviewed on Gigi's Gone Shopping and didn't think twice about ordering it.  I'm sad to see it's not online right now, but you can always check a local store if you're interested in trying it out yourself.  It may not be as "heavy" as the Bailey 44 version, but that certainly doesn't mean it can't be as flattering.  The dress hugs in all the right places and I felt great wearing it.  I'm looking forward to being able to style it without the tights and some fun colorful shoes.

Saturday night we ate dinner at Water Buffalo to celebrate a good friend's birthday and then came home and enjoyed red velvet cupcakes.  Um, I totally drank an entire bottle of SkinnyGirl White Cranberry Cosmo and fell asleep with my make up on.  I haven't done that for a while.  I guess that means it was a good night!

Did you do anything eventful this weekend?

25 people had this to say:

  1. That looks soooo cute on you! And what a deal that was! I just bought the Modcloth version of this dress that just came out a few night ago...can't wait to get it!

    1. Oh! I must have missed the Modcloth version. I'm going to check it out. Macy's only offered the black and tan version and I really like the Baily's 44 eggplant color. But, considering the dollars saved, I can live with it!
I can't wait until you receive yours!

    1. Thanks, Rosa! I love that the dress is stretchy but not too stretchy that you see lumps and bumps. It really makes the fit nice.

    1. Oh yeah. The cupcakes were sooo good and such a nice treat! I really like the sleeveless version for spring and after Jenni commented above about buying a Modcloth version, I clicked over to check it out. $80 and sleeveless! I'm tempted because I don't know when/if the Anthro one will ever go on sale!

  9. Oh, that dress is beeeee-yooootiful! You look so fantastic in it! Hmm, maybe I should try the shorter version at Anthro...I'm afraid that length would be far too long in shorty-me.

    1. Thanks, Carol. The dress does fall right below my knees and I'm 5'6". I haven't tried on the shorter version at Anthro so I can't compare, but you may want to investigate further. Now I want the sleeveless version and tempted to order the Modcloth version Jenni mentioned above.

  10. This dress looks great on you Pamela. I would have thought that this was the Bailey 44 version if you didn't say anything. It's a great price for a really good look a like. BTW....I might have to try the SkinnyGirl White Cranberry Cosmo...it sounds like it's a good time.

  11. I haven't had a nite like that in awhile. Sounds fun!

You're spot on w/the 'not as heavy' comment about the fabric. The fit *is* still flattering, though. You look soooo good in the dress.
