Happy Monday.
I have a special day lined up today. It's an early birthday present from my friend Kelly and it includes some good friends and a spa. But more about that tomorrow!
So, Friday the 13th started off on a sour note when I realized I needed new windshield wipers but the guy at the auto parts store couldn't help me put them on. After struggling for about 1/2 hour, I managed to replace one. ONE! Thankfully, Mr. M was able to come out later and change the other one.
I came into the house feeling all dejected but immediately perked up when I saw this:
I've been meaning to put this bike together since, oh...NOVEMBER, but just never did it.
I guess Mr. M was tired of seeing that big box in basement and finally did it himself. I'm so thankful he did because he said it was as bad as putting together something from Ikea. Enough said.
So, after seeing Elena from Caffeinerd tweet this recipe on Saturday, I knew it would be the perfect "thank you" treat.
Of course, I needed to do a quality assurance check on them. Yep, they passed.
And since I was on a roll in the kitchen, I decided to counterbalance the sweet with the savory and made this super easy and totally healthy quinoa vegetable soup. Delish!
Weekend was good but I cannot lie, I couldn't stop thinking about this...
Have a great day!

So glad you made the muffins and enjoyed! One of my favorite recipes (first made them as favors for guests for my housewarming party a couple of years ago). Happy spa-ing (and cycling!).

The bike is from Walmart! I ordered it online on Black Friday after opting not to wait in a massive line at the store. It's the Huffy Cranbrook.
DeleteI love it when my husband fixes or puts together stuff for me, so this is so sweet of your husband to do.
ReplyDeleteI love the bike! It will be so nice to have once the sun comes out to play!
ReplyDeleteWHAT! What is that last picture? It looks like a place I want to be! And the bike looks so cute! Hooray for Mr. M. for putting it together!
ReplyDeleteOoh...Kholer Waters Spa!!! You'll have a great time. I'd love to go back there for a massage!
ReplyDeleteCutest bike, ever! So jealous. I just picked up a bag of quinoa from Costco, so thanks for the recipe. Totally trying it this week! That spa looks all sorts of amazing...can't wait to hear about it.
ReplyDeleteOh, that soup looks fantastic! And your bike! We <3 our Misters!
ReplyDeleteOh, that spa looks fantastic. You enjoy that day of pampering!!
ReplyDeleteNice wheels, lady! ;o) I need an old school beach cruiser - my last bike was some shmancy mountain bike thing with shocks and like twelve gears, I didn't know what to do with myself!
ReplyDeleteYay! You finally got one of the bikes you had been wanting!
